Summer is just around the corner, and with the gradual change of temperature and longer nights we all look forward to, comes the opportunity to change your wardrobe. If you’re looking for inspiration, we’re here to help with our handy style guide for summer.

T-Shirts

Okay, so this is probably the most obvious, but no summer wardrobe should be complete without t-shirts. They are versatile, come in a wide range of colours and styles and can be worn both during the day and at night.

Prints and Slogans

As summer is a more laidback time of the year, especially if you’re on holiday, you can dress to impress and make a statement, even if you are just heading to town for a shopping spree or lunch with friends. Why not add a bold touch to your wardrobe this summer with some colourful and interesting prints or slogans emblazoned on sweaters cardigans or tees?

Floral Prints

A more classic choice, but one that is just as stylish clothes with floral prints. What better way to celebrate all those beautiful and colourful blooms than with a flowery dress or t-shirt and skirt combo?

Tie-Dye

Did tie-dye really ever go out of fashion? If it did, it’s back in again, like many retro and vintage looks. Although it would be fun to do your own tie-dye t-shirt, top or even dress or skirt, there are plenty of stunning options to choose from these days. The lightly coloured, almost faded look works well to liven up a more subtle white t-shirt and jeans outfit.

Summer Dresses

It says it all in the name. Summer dresses were designed for summer. Don’t worry if you are nervous about showing too much leg, as there are a huge variety of different cuts, lengths, and styles of summer dresses available these days. From the more conservative and formal type to more flowy and lightweight, and everything in between, there are colourful and understated summer dresses to suit your mood, occasion and weather.

Crop Tops

A more playful look to the average t-shirt, crop tops are a great way to bare some skin and show off your navel proudly. Whether you wear it as part of an evening ensemble or as a fun and relaxed daytime outfit, a crop top is a great way to show off your figure.

Co-Ordinates

Although summer is often a time for going with the flow and being less uniform, there is still the opportunity to wear matching outfits. Co-ords don’t need to be boring though, as you can get away with brighter and quirkier colours during summer.

Bright Plaid Trousers

If you want to add an interesting touch to the colours you are looking to rock during summer, you should consider getting yourself a nice pair of floral or even rainbow coloured plaid trousers. These are great for a relaxed look with a simple cardigan or even a button-down shirt.

Little Black Dress

Yes, you read that right. It may be a little more daring than what you’d normally wear, but when the sun is beaming down and you’re feeling good, why not slip into something a little more sensual like a little black dress.

Tank Top and Midi Skirt

For the ultimate “just thrown on” look, consider a tucked-in tank top paired with a flowy and light midi skirt.
